DESCRIPTION:Itinerary:  \nHome \n \nWhen :  21st August 2022 can be two days if members wish \nMeet: Fatty Arbuckles Downham Market for Breakfast. at 10am or sooner (for those living over 40miles from Downham Mkt might be good idea to find overnight stay nearby). \nStone Cross\, A10\nBexwell\nDownham Market\nNorfolk\nPE38 0AD \nThen onto Flixton via  a quaint village in North Suffolk and home of the Norfolk and Suffolk Museum which we hope to visit : https://www.aviationmuseum.net/index.html Note from Arbuckles to Frixton is about 1 hour but its through idyllic countryside. Local pubs available for refreshments but we will stop if needs to stretch legs. Early Directions to Flixton  via A134\, take the A1066  to Thetford which leads to the A143\, then take the B1062 into Flixton. Peter Collinson will advise Sat Code on the day. \nAfter Flixton visit we depart for: \nBurgh Castle use Sat Nav Postcode : NR31 9QB  –  we drive to Burgh Castle nr Gt Yarmouth its a 33minutes drive. \nLatitude : 52.583995 Longtitude : 1.65503 \nBurgh Castle is an English Heritage site (https://www.english-heritage.org.uk/visit/places/burgh-castle/directions/) and has a museum on site. Burgh Castle was 3rd Century Roman Cavalry Fort with impressive still standing fortifications although the south facing wall has collapsed into the Marshes. The site  overlooks the Berney Marshes and the Rivers Waveney and Yare\, even a philistine like me acknowledges its an atmospheric site\, with the Marshes and cries of the Sea Fowl. Its well written with almost a ‘comic book’ presentation. In the village itself is The Fishermans Inn Burgh Castle\, which might be worth a visit and perhaps a meal to end the day?
