M Power and Performance
Model Overview
Welcome to the BMW Car Club GB M-Power & Performance page – the home for everything inspired by BMW’s most exhilarating badge.
From legendary full M cars such as the iconic E30 M3, E46 M3 and V10-powered E60 M5, through to modern masterpieces like the latest M2, M3 Touring and XM, the M story is one of innovation, motorsport heritage and uncompromising driving dynamics. Alongside these thoroughbred M models sits the exciting and ever-growing M Performance range – cars such as the M240i, M340i and X3 M40i – delivering everyday usability with unmistakable M character, enhanced power and distinctive styling.
M-Power & Performance celebrates the entire spectrum: classic, modern and future M cars; saloons, coupés, touring models and SAVs; track-focused icons and refined road cars alike. Whether you are an owner, enthusiast, or simply admire the engineering excellence of BMW M GmbH, this is your dedicated hub within the Club.
This is the page to visit for the latest news, event announcements, register updates and features. From themed meets and track days to national shows and special anniversary celebrations, you will find everything you need to stay connected with the M community right here.
“Born on the racetrack. At home on the road.”
BMW M cars represent the very pinnacle of performance within the BMW marque, combining explosive acceleration, razor-sharp steering and exceptional chassis balance with everyday usability and comfort. From the ground-breaking BMW M1 of 1978 – where BMW Motorsport GmbH first brought race-bred engineering to the road – through icons such as the E30 M3 and E39 M5 to today’s M2, M3 Touring, M4 CSL and the latest generation of high-performance M and M Performance models, the M story is one of continual evolution driven by motorsport DNA.
The M-Power & Performance Register celebrates the full spectrum of this heritage. We welcome owners of both full M cars and M Performance models – from classic, analogue driver’s cars to modern turbocharged and xDrive-equipped machines. Our community reflects that diversity, bringing together enthusiasts who share a passion for engineering excellence and the unique character of the M badge.
Register activity centres around high-quality events designed to be inclusive, sociable and engaging. From themed meets at Club HQ and major national shows to dedicated M gatherings and anniversary celebrations. Many members also enjoy track days and driver development opportunities at circuits such as Oulton Park, Donnington Park and Anglesey, where cars can be explored safely in a fully marshalled environment with expert tuition available.
We are also seeing significant growth in interest around earlier M cars, with restoration, preservation and originality becoming increasingly important. Within the Register there is a wealth of knowledge and experience to support owners undertaking sympathetic rebuilds or seeking rare parts and trusted specialists.
Along with the regional monthly meets and breakfast meats, the Club’s “BMW Live” at Oulton Park remains a highlight of the show calendar and consistently attracts one of the largest gatherings of BMWs in the UK, with M cars forming a spectacular centrepiece – from pristine E30 M3 variants to the very latest models fresh from the showroom.
Above all, the M-Power & Performance Register exists to bring people together. Whether you are a long-standing owner, new to “M”, or simply aspire to join the fold, you will find a welcoming community, valuable contacts, and a shared commitment to celebrating what is, quite simply, the most powerful letter in the world.
