Welcome to the ’02 Community

Hi!  I’m Mike Milbourne and I am privileged to be taking on the role of ’02 Community captain in 2026 which also just happens to be the 60th Anniversary of the model series! Undoubtably the ’02 series is the car the effectively set BMW on the road to success with over 837,000 cars being produced between 1966 to 1977.

The ’02 Community will hopefully form part of a new section within the Car Club to highlight the “Sharknose” models from the E6 to the E21 so these models can be collectively represented throughout the various media and the work can be shared between series captains.

A new Facebook page will be coming in the New Year and it is hoped to include a display at the BMW Live event in July 2026 at Oulton Park, plus representation at an event at the Club’s new headquarters at the Great Northern Classics site in Derby.

Note. That this is not a replacement for the existing ’02 Register which is now being run separately from the BMW Car Club but simply a portal for ’02 owners to get represented within the Car Club’s various social media  platforms and the Straight Six Magazine.
