DESCRIPTION:Central Concours\nDate: Sunday 23rd October 2022\nVenue: Stone Manor\, Kidderminster\, DY10 4PJ\nWe have preferential rates with Stone Manor Hotel if you wish to stay – simply state “BMW Car Club” upon booking and you will receive a discounted rate for bed and breakfast. \nJudging will commence at 10.30am and we will look to complete judging by 3.00pm and announce the results along with a small\, fun raffle by 4.00pm. The event will be judged using the Pride of Ownership scoring approach. \nIf you would like to attend\, please pre-book by calling the Club Office on 01970 267 989. Entry is £10 and this is purely so that we can cover a small portion of the costs involved in running the event. \nMoving forwards\, we will be looking to have at least three regional concours events each year so that there is a spread across the country as well as the usual National Concours event. \nI hope to see as many of you as possible at Stone Manor on 23rd October!

Whether you are visiting the Circuit as a driver or spectator you are assured of a day to remember. It is one of the few circuits to be designed and constructed with an entirely new concept. They have taken full advantage of the undulating landscape and created a circuit with imaginative cambers\, a blend of fast sections\, technically challenging mid range corners complemented with two hairpin bends and a 10% banked corner. With its remarkably smooth surface and a minimum width of 12 metres\, the circuit is an outstanding venue for amateur and seasoned drivers alike. Spectators can enjoy all the action from a variety of vantage points\, including the elevated position above the Corkscrew and at Peel and Rocket. Frank Sytner\, Tim Harvey and Colin Turkington will be discussing everything from the BTCC’s past\, present and future\, winning in BMW touring cars and if any of that racing excellence translates into its road cars.  \nThe trio’s racing careers have overlapped\, as Harvey raced against Sytner in the 80s and 90s\, then competed against Turkington in 2002. The event will provide a unique experience to hear just how the sport has changed over the decades from the people who have been at the heart of it for nearly 40 years. With many decades of experience between them\, Sytner\, Harvery and Turkington can accurately chart just how the cars have changed\, how the championship has developed and how the rivalries have flourished.  \nWhile that will undoubtedly be fascinating\, it’s inevitable there will be some honest and humorous stories to accompany that insight.
