DESCRIPTION:Our next monthly breakfast meeting will be on Sunday 14th July 2024. We meet from 10.00am to 11.30am at Black Horse Beamish\, Red Row\, Beamish\, Co. Durham\, DH9 0RW. Please be there for 10am prompt if you want to join us for breakfast at discounted club rates. The Black Horse Beamish is just a short distance off the A1 so is easy to get to and has plenty of parking. We usually have a good variety of Alpinas\, BMWs and Modern Minis – classics\, moderns\, daily drivers and a scattering of Ms. Non-BMWs are also OK! Look for the big group somewhere in the pub building\, or hanging around the cars down by the Car Barn on a sunny day. This meeting is open to members and non-members.

SUMMARY:Historic Vehicle Gathering at Powderham Castle - UPDATED 1/7/24
DESCRIPTION:UPDATE 1/7/24 – THE VEHICLE PASSES AND WRISTBANDS HAVE BEEN DISTRIBUTED TO THOSE ATTENDING. \nOur local big event of the year returns on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th of July in the stunning setting of the grounds of Powderham Castle. Let us hope that the weather is kinder than in 2023. \nWe will be attending as a club and I have requested the same pitch and capacity as last year. The tickets are £17 which covers 1 car\, 1 driver and 1 passenger for either or both days. Camping for the Friday and Saturday night is £40 including entrance. \nIt will be open to the public from 10:00-17:00 so we will need to be there around 09:00 to set up the car display etc. We will try to theme our display\, so please abide the request of whoever is marshalling the display. \nWe expect to be hosting our neighbouring Cornwall and Western Regions. \nHelp in setting up the marquee on Friday the 12th will be welcomed. The conditions of entry are shown below. \n \n  \n

SUMMARY:New Forest Treasure Hunt
DESCRIPTION:We are holding a treasure hunt in the New Forest on Sunday 9th June starting at The Sir Walter Tyrrell Pub and finishing at The Bell Inn\, both in Brook\, Near Lyndhurst.  It will be a relaxed drive (not a race!!) with several stops to search for clues.  Please meet at the Sir Walter Tyrrell Pub at 2pm for the briefing (or earlier if you fancy Sunday lunch there).  The treasure hunt will start at 2.30pm and is expected to finish at The Bell Inn by about 5.30-6.00pm.  We will have a prize giving and group dinner at The Bell Inn from 6.00pm onwards. \nA briefing pack with the route\, clues and answer sheet will be provided but please have a pen or pencil available.  It will be important for each car to have a navigator so that there are no distractions for the driver.  Please be prepared to do some pairing so that there is a minimum of two people in each car. \nPlease register for this event with Julian Pickering (email: wessex@bmwcarclubgb.co.uk) as soon as possible but no later than Friday 7 June so that the briefing packs and dinner reservations can be finalised.  The Bell Inn have asked for food pre-ordering\, so I will send out a menu when you register.

The Black Horse Beamish is just a short distance off the A1 so is easy to get to and has plenty of parking. We usually have a good variety of Alpinas\, BMWs and Modern Minis – classics\, moderns\, daily drivers and a scattering of Ms. Non-BMWs are also OK! Look for the big group somewhere in the pub building\, or hanging around the cars down by the Car Barn on a sunny day. This meeting is open to members and non-members.

DESCRIPTION:BMW Live is a new regional event for 2024 which is taking place at Oulton Park Circuit on Saturday\, 1st June 2024. \nBMW Live will have Region display parking for North East\, Eastern\, Central West\, North West\, Cheshire & Staffs\, Central\, Scottish\, Cumbria\, Mid-Wales & Shropshire and North Wales Regions\, along with many other BMW\, Alpina and modern MINI car groups\, plus a general BMW\, Alpina and modern MINI display parking area. \nBMW Car Club racing will be taking place on the day\, as well as other 750 Motorsport racing\, and there will be a grid walk and a parade lap you can sign up to on the day. There will be a trader village\, kids fun fair and various food and beverage options available. Free camping is available for Friday and Saturday night. \nWe are also holding a pre-event circuit meet on the Friday night in the on-site Chequers café / bar. There will be food and beverages to purchase\, with a full bar available all evening. Get together with like-minded people and the motor racers in a friendly and inviting atmosphere.
