DESCRIPTION:Midnight and Fiona would like to take you for a run up the River Coquet\, starting at the sea (Amble) and heading inland to near the source at Alwitton. The run will see you follow the river through villages like\, Felton\, Rothbury and Harbottle and finally reaching Clennell Hall NE65 7BG\, where a lovely Sunday lunch will be provided at £20 for three courses. We will be meeting at the Amble Inn\, NE65 OFF at 10 am for a 10:15 departure. Please note a few things\, route will depend on road closures\, some roads are off the beaten track\, we may be stopping in Rothbury for photos/regroup and finally\, four legged friends and children are welcome!

DESCRIPTION:Our next monthly breakfast meeting will be on Sunday 14th July 2024. We meet from 10.00am to 11.30am at Black Horse Beamish\, Red Row\, Beamish\, Co. Durham\, DH9 0RW. Please be there for 10am prompt if you want to join us for breakfast at discounted club rates. The Black Horse Beamish is just a short distance off the A1 so is easy to get to and has plenty of parking. We usually have a good variety of Alpinas\, BMWs and Modern Minis – classics\, moderns\, daily drivers and a scattering of Ms. Non-BMWs are also OK! Look for the big group somewhere in the pub building\, or hanging around the cars down by the Car Barn on a sunny day. This meeting is open to members and non-members.

SUMMARY:Historic Vehicle Gathering at Powderham Castle - UPDATED 1/7/24
DESCRIPTION:UPDATE 1/7/24 – THE VEHICLE PASSES AND WRISTBANDS HAVE BEEN DISTRIBUTED TO THOSE ATTENDING. \nOur local big event of the year returns on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th of July in the stunning setting of the grounds of Powderham Castle. Let us hope that the weather is kinder than in 2023. \nWe will be attending as a club and I have requested the same pitch and capacity as last year. The tickets are £17 which covers 1 car\, 1 driver and 1 passenger for either or both days. Camping for the Friday and Saturday night is £40 including entrance. \nIt will be open to the public from 10:00-17:00 so we will need to be there around 09:00 to set up the car display etc. We will try to theme our display\, so please abide the request of whoever is marshalling the display. \nWe expect to be hosting our neighbouring Cornwall and Western Regions. \nHelp in setting up the marquee on Friday the 12th will be welcomed. The conditions of entry are shown below. \n \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:The names Region – Central Region!\nJoin us us for visit to the fantastic Nene Valley Railway on Sunday 16th June.\nWansford Station\, Stibbington PE8 6LR\nNene Valley Railway offers the chance to experience the thrill of riding a steam engine; learn about the railway’s history; and explore the picturesque surroundings of the Nene Valley area.\nThe railway itself has been used in many music videos\, TV and film productions including two James Bond films – Octopussy and Goldeneye.\nYour host can show you the the filming locations used!!\nThe locations used in the films still look the same today and the red carriage used in Octopussy (see main picture above) has recently been restored and is on display.\nWe will have a pre – agreed parking area to display our cars. At the moment I have agreement for 30 cars – I will need to know who plans to attend well in advance so we can plan the required space.\nPayment can be made to ride the train on the day (A discount will be available to members on the day).
