DESCRIPTION:We have arranged a visit to BMWCCGB’s partner\, The Wheel Specialist\, at Westerhope Newcastle\, NE5 1BF\, on Sunday 26th January starting at 10:00am. The visit is expected to last a couple of hours. DESCRIPTION:Our normal Basingstoke club night in December is on Tuesday 17th.  We have the option to eat from the usual main menu or\, for those with larger appetites\, can go the full monty and have the 3 course menu at £40.  You will need to choose from either the pub or the Christmas menu (both shown below) but cannot mix and match from both.  The pub has now asked that we pre-order for both menus.  The good news is that this is payable on the day.  Please could you let Tim have your choice of food by Monday 9th latest.  As an extra treat we are going up market and eating in the restaurant.  Christmas jumpers are optional but encouraged !! \n \n \nAll Wessex members and guests are very welcome at both our Basingstoke and Bournemouth Christmas Dinners.  Come to both !!!

DESCRIPTION:Our next monthly breakfast meeting will be on Sunday 13th October 2024. We meet from 10.00am to 11.30am at Black Horse Beamish\, Red Row\, Beamish\, Co. Durham\, DH9 0RW. Please be there for 10am prompt if you want to join us for breakfast at discounted club rates. Please help us by clicking ‘going’ on the Facebook event so that we can pass on numbers to the pub. \nThe Black Horse Beamish is just a short distance off the A1 so is easy to get to and has plenty of parking. We usually have a good variety of Alpinas\, BMWs and Modern Minis – classics\, moderns\, daily drivers and a scattering of Ms. Non-BMWs are also OK! Look for the big group somewhere in the pub building\, or hanging around the cars down by the Car Barn on a sunny day. This meeting is open to members and non-members.

SUMMARY:Wessex Weekend Tour 3
DESCRIPTION:There have been several requests for Wessex Weekend Tour 3 to be located on the Isle of Wight.  The Mayfair Hotel in Shanklin on the East of the island has been pre-booked\, which is in a prime location with lovely sea views.  Double/twin rooms cost £80 for the night including full English breakfasts. Single rooms are available (please request through me).  A 3-course dinner will be provided on Saturday evening at an additional cost of £20 per person.  I have applied to the club for a contribution towards these costs\, consistent with the new policy agreed at the AGM\, and I am awaiting a response. We will have an organised drive on Saturday\, taking in major towns and visitor attractions on the island\, and on Sunday you will be free to explore on your own or team up with friends.  If you would like to join the Tour please do not delay booking. The Isle of Wight is very popular all year around and the ferries and hotels book up well in advance. I am able to hold a good number of rooms at the hotel just now but I cannot influence ferry bookings. The hotel are not asking for a deposit but they need a commitment.  Please contact me with your room and dinner choices with details of any allergies as soon as possible. However\, booking the ferry is more urgent.
