DESCRIPTION:Barry Giles\, the Bodyshop Manager at Vines of Guildford has kindly offered club members a tour of his bodyshop so we can see the latest BMW approved repairs\, methods\, technology\, wheel refurbishment etc. \nAs well as undertaking insurance work they are able to offer services to our members who may require repairs\, paintwork\, restoration work etc\, and will be happy to offer advice and costs to anyone who wishes to bring their vehicles back to original condition. If your car is already in pristine condition\, it would be interesting to see what they can achieve anyway in case required on future occasions.

DESCRIPTION:Dear Members.\nMeet 10am at Chipping Norton New Car Park : Hill Lawn Ct\, Chipping Norton OX7 5NF.\nThe Sat Nav will take you straight there! \nThen onto Broadway Towers for Coffee etc – park in Grass Car Park behind public car park. In other words drive straight on towards minor Lane at the end. Its a journey of 15 miles from Chipping Norton via A44. \nFrom Broadway Tower we then drive onto Chipping Camden 10 min (5.4mi) via B4081 – proper Cotswold Beauty Drive. At Chipping Camden there is plenty to see as it’s an interesting Cotswold Town. I suggest we end up at the Cotswold House Hotel & Spa Upper High Street The Square\, Chipping Campden GL55 6AN for tea/refreshments and importantly has a decent garden! \nShould be a great day out and suitable for partners and friends. SUMMARY:BMWCC Visit to Coventry Transport Museum 29th May; Display Cars at Millenium Place
DESCRIPTION:  \nWe can all display our cars on Millenium Place which is a great showplace for the BMWCC . I know many of you have fine cars to proudly display and what better place than on the Millenium Place with the backdrop of the futuristic museum in the centre of Coventry the birthplace of the British Motor Industry. This is an opportunity not to be missed. \nThe Transport Museum is a gem with a fascinating collection of automobiles and bikes plus the story of the woman who solved the Spitfires problems in 1940 which occurred when diving. All great stuff. Now\, the CTM have recently introduced entry charges to the Museum but are willing to offer discounted tickets. To this I need to know members who are coming and who wish to visit the onsite Museum\, so an RSVP please\, to central@bmwccgb.co.uk….asap. \nMembers not permitted to clean Car when on site; this includes wheels.  All Cars will have drip trays or absorbent materials for oil (if any) and water leaks. To be placed under car Radiator/Engine and including rear Axle. There should be two marshals on site by 10am to assist in display parking – 5mph or less is maximum speed limit. In addition\, one member should remain in display area as a security attendant.  \nSite plan/route plan/Traffic Management.  Please see attached details. Please note arrival should be timed at; after 10.30am. This allows the Marshalls to be in place prior to 10am and the bollards to be lowered in Chauntry Place\, allows excess to Millenium Place(Display Area)  \nEvent Schedule 29th May 2022   Marshals should aim to be on site prior to 10am .  Members should aim to arrive after 10.30am                                                                                                                                                   Where :  Millennium Place\, Hales St\, Coventry CV1 1JD for Sat Nav use Post Code CV IJR   \n\nRef Map attached above\, please note how to get to the Museum option 1 details\, if you have ca olour printer the route is shaded pink. \nAgain \, please aim for number 1 route entrance. SUMMARY:Cancelled - Southern Concours
DESCRIPTION:It is with much regret that unfortunately we will be cancelling this event as once again we are struck with COVID restrictions. \nAfter much deliberation we feel that the uncertainty of whether restrictions will be lifted does not allow us enough time to prepare for this event. We also do not wish to committ to any further costs for an event that may or may not happen or have poor attendance due to travel restrictions. It is very difficult and challenging for our committee to get involved with the organisational elements required to hold these events with the current lockdown restrictions in place. We take extreme pride in the events we organise and without the great team of volunteers who give up their time very generously they would not be able to go ahead.
