SUMMARY:Wessex Weekend Tour4
DESCRIPTION:Wessex Weekend Tour 4 will take place on the weekend of 1-2 November 2025.  It will include an overnight stay at The Fernhill Hotel\, Charmouth (near Lyme Regis) and a group dinner on Saturday night.  See https://fernhill-hotel.co.uk.    Local guests are welcome to join the tour and group dinner without staying overnight at the hotel.  The room rates vary from £160 to £210 per room for 2 people including bed and breakfast.  The dinner is £40 per head.  We must fill all 10 rooms at the hotel.  A few extra rooms are available at a nearby B&B if required.  To allow the room bookings to be secured please make a commitment as soon as possible.  The agenda for the weekend will be as follows: \nSaturday 1st November\n10.00am:   Start of Tour – meet at Haynes Motor Museum\, Sparkford\, Nr. Yeovil BA22 7LH.\n10.00am – 1.00pm:   Enjoy the Motor Museum and have an early lunch in their Café 750.\n1.00pm – 2.30pm:    Scenic drive to Axminster with short stop at Chard Reservoir Local Nature Reserve.\n2.30pm – 3.30pm:    Visit Axminster Heritage Centre – history of carpet making at original factory with (hopefully) a weaving demonstration on an original carpet loom.\n3.30pm – 5.00pm:    Drive to Lyme Regis.  Stop in the town to see The Cobb \, the famous stone-built walled harbour. Explore the town at leisure.\n5.00pm – 5.15pm:    Drive to Fernhill Hotel\, Charmouth.\n7.00pm:                   Drinks and group dinner at Fernhill Hotel.  The dinner is open to tour guests not staying in the hotel. \nSunday 2nd November\n8.00am – 10.00am:  Group breakfast at Fernhill Hotel.\n10.00am                   Free day to explore the region at leisure.  Join up with friends and travel together. \nTo reserve a place on the tour\, with or without an overnight stay\, please contact Julian Pickering.

Look for the big group somewhere in the pub building\, or hanging around the cars down by the Car Barn on a sunny day. This meeting is open to members and non-members.

SUMMARY:BMWs at Autumn  SCITP\, 07 Sep 2025
DESCRIPTION:We are attending Sports Cars In The Park again this year on Sunday 07 Sep. The show will be held at Newby Hall and is one of the largest meets in the area attracting a fabulous range of exotic sports cars and BMWs to admire. There is also the option to visit Newby Hall itself\, 25 acres of award winning\, an enchanting woodland walk and a miniature railway. Younger visitors will also enjoy the exciting adventure gardens. There will also be a number of related stalls and catering on the day. Display cars can arrive from 7:00 until 12:00. Tickets for driver and displaying car are purchased from the SCITP website\, with each additional occupant costing extra with a discount for children. Display tickets are only sold in advance. To get your tickets go to www.sportscarsinthepark.co.uk\, login and then click on ‘Tickets’. Remember to select ‘BMW Car Club GB’ as part of the process\, or you may end up parked amongst Audis and Volkswagens. The club stand is open to members and non-members\, and to all BMWs\, Modern Minis and Alpinas.
