SUMMARY:BMWs at Spring SCITP\, 04 May 2025
DESCRIPTION:We are attending Sports Cars In The Park again this year on Sunday 04 May. The show will be held at Newby Hall and is one of the largest meets in the area attracting a fabulous range of about 1400 exotic sports cars to admire\, with well over 100 BMWs. There is also the option to visit Newby Hall itself\, 25 acres of award winning\, an enchanting woodland walk and a miniature railway. Younger visitors will also enjoy the exciting adventure gardens. There will also be a number of related stalls and catering on the day. Display cars can arrive from 7:00 until 12:00. Tickets for driver and displaying car are purchased from the SCITP website\, with each additional occupant costing extra with a discount for children. Display tickets are only sold in advance. To get your tickets go to www.sportscarsinthepark.co.uk\, login and then click on ‘Tickets’. Remember to select ‘BMW Car Club GB’ as part of the process\, or you may end up parked amongst Audis and Volkswagens. The club stand is open to members and non-members\, and to all BMWs\, Modern Minis and Alpinas.

SUMMARY:Hops to Horsepower - Lakeland Motor Museum
DESCRIPTION:A double whammy of an Event !\nThe owners of the Barrel House Brewery in Kendal have kindly offered us a tour of their Brewery\, so we will travel to the Brewery for a guided tour and complimentary light refreshments before heading out to the Lakeland Motor Museum expecting to arrive there about 12:00 noon to 1pm for the museum visit which takes about 2 hrs\nNormal entry fees apply for the Museum but we are hoping to have segregated parking for the group on the site if possible\nWe will meet at Scotch Corner Services by the Travel Lodge at 9:00am where you can grab a quick coffee or breakfast before departure at 9:30 for Kendal (about an hour’s drive) and the Brewery. There is no cost for the Brewery Tour or food however we would ask that members make a suitable donation to their supported local charity which is BloodBikes !\nPlaces are limited to 20 cars so please let us know if you are coming by indicating this on the event on the North East Region Facebook page.

DESCRIPTION:Midnight and Fiona would like to take you for a run up the River Coquet\, starting at the sea (Amble) and heading inland to near the source at Alwitton. The run will see you follow the river through villages like\, Felton\, Rothbury and Harbottle and finally reaching Clennell Hall NE65 7BG\, where a lovely Sunday lunch will be provided at £20 for three courses. We will be meeting at the Amble Inn\, NE65 OFF at 10 am for a 10:15 departure. Please note a few things\, route will depend on road closures\, some roads are off the beaten track\, we may be stopping in Rothbury for photos/regroup and finally\, four legged friends and children are welcome!

DESCRIPTION:BMW Live is a new regional event for 2024 which is taking place at Oulton Park Circuit on Saturday\, 1st June 2024. \nBMW Live will have Region display parking for North East\, Eastern\, Central West\, North West\, Cheshire & Staffs\, Central\, Scottish\, Cumbria\, Mid-Wales & Shropshire and North Wales Regions\, along with many other BMW\, Alpina and modern MINI car groups\, plus a general BMW\, Alpina and modern MINI display parking area. \nBMW Car Club racing will be taking place on the day\, as well as other 750 Motorsport racing\, and there will be a grid walk and a parade lap you can sign up to on the day. There will be a trader village\, kids fun fair and various food and beverage options available. Free camping is available for Friday and Saturday night. \nWe are also holding a pre-event circuit meet on the Friday night in the on-site Chequers café / bar. There will be food and beverages to purchase\, with a full bar available all evening. Get together with like-minded people and the motor racers in a friendly and inviting atmosphere. DESCRIPTION:We are attending Sports Cars In The Park again this year on Sunday 05 May. The show will be held at Newby Hall and is one of the largest meets in the area attracting a fabulous range of about 1400 exotic sports cars to admire\, with well over 100 BMWs. There is also the option to visit Newby Hall itself\, 25 acres of award winning\, an enchanting woodland walk and a miniature railway. Younger visitors will also enjoy the exciting adventure gardens. There will also be a number of related stalls and catering on the day. Display cars can arrive from 8:15 until 12:00. Tickets for driver and displaying car (£8:00) are available from the SCITP website\, with each extra occupant costing £8:00 extra with a discount for children. Display tickets are only sold in advance. To get your tickets go to www.sportscarsinthepark.co.uk\, login and then click on ‘Tickets’. Remember to select ‘BMW Car Club GB’ as part of the process\, or you may end up parked amongst Audis and Volkswagens. DESCRIPTION:Sunday 24th March 10:00am will be our first run of the year.\nOur route starts at Scotch Corner Southbound at the Travelodge hotel car park. (Depart 10:00am prompt) and takes us to England’s highest pub\, The Tan Hill Inn for a brief tea and cakes stop.\nWe then have a couple of viewpoints to take in at the Buttertubs Pass and Ribblehead Viaduct before stopping for a light lunch at the Wensleydale Creamery café. Reservations can not be made for the café. The café has plenty of seating\, but it can get busy so you may wish to take a picnic. (An alternative would be the café at Aysgarth Falls) Leaving the creamery we head for home\, where you may wish to visit the magnificent Aysgarth falls on your way.
