SUMMARY:BMW Live 2024\, Oulton Park\, 01 June 2024
DESCRIPTION:BMW Live is a new regional event for 2024 which is taking place at Oulton Park Circuit on Saturday\, 1st June 2024. \nBMW Live will have Region display parking for North East\, Eastern\, Central West\, North West\, Cheshire & Staffs\, Central\, Scottish\, Cumbria\, Mid-Wales & Shropshire and North Wales Regions\, along with many other BMW\, Alpina and modern MINI car groups\, plus a general BMW\, Alpina and modern MINI display parking area. \nBMW Car Club racing will be taking place on the day\, as well as other 750 Motorsport racing\, and there will be a grid walk and a parade lap you can sign up to on the day. There will be a trader village\, kids fun fair and various food and beverage options available. Free camping is available for Friday and Saturday night. \nWe are also holding a pre-event circuit meet on the Friday night in the on-site Chequers café / bar. There will be food and beverages to purchase\, with a full bar available all evening. Get together with like-minded people and the motor racers in a friendly and inviting atmosphere. Find people from all the different regions and registers and car clubs that will be displaying at BMW Live. Please note\, the reference to pre-2000s in the display package description applies to non-club members who bring classics for display but do not receive the club discount. There is no age restriction for cars on club display stands\, they do not need to be pre-2000. Do not click the red ‘AS AN INDIVIDUAL’ button\, as that will take you to the pre-2000 display parking booking\, and do not click on the dark grey ‘FOR MY CLUB’ button. \nLogin to your MSV account\, or register and create an MSV account if you don’t already have one. \nYou will be asked to add the code for your club – please use this code 3813 \nThis will then take you to the booking page for our club attending the event\, with the club discount already applied. You will need to register your display vehicle account to your account\, even if you previously had it registered with MSV\, as their new system hasn’t carried vehicles over from previous years. \nSelect the day or days you wish to attend and follow the booking process. Two separate items will automatically be put into your basket: \n\nA vehicle display pass (this is NOT your driver entry ticket\, it is the parking pass for your car). Its a journey of 15 miles from Chipping Norton via A44. \nFrom Broadway Tower we then drive onto Chipping Camden 10 min (5.4mi) via B4081 – proper Cotswold Beauty Drive. At Chipping Camden there is plenty to see as it’s an interesting Cotswold Town. I suggest we end up at the Cotswold House Hotel & Spa Upper High Street The Square\, Chipping Campden GL55 6AN for tea/refreshments and importantly has a decent garden! \nShould be a great day out and suitable for partners and friends. SUMMARY:BMWCC Visit to Coventry Transport Museum 29th May; Display Cars at Millenium Place
DESCRIPTION:  \nWe can all display our cars on Millenium Place which is a great showplace for the BMWCC . I know many of you have fine cars to proudly display and what better place than on the Millenium Place with the backdrop of the futuristic museum in the centre of Coventry the birthplace of the British Motor Industry. This is an opportunity not to be missed. \nThe Transport Museum is a gem with a fascinating collection of automobiles and bikes plus the story of the woman who solved the Spitfires problems in 1940 which occurred when diving. All great stuff. Now\, the CTM have recently introduced entry charges to the Museum but are willing to offer discounted tickets. To this I need to know members who are coming and who wish to visit the onsite Museum\, so an RSVP please\, to central@bmwccgb.co.uk….asap. \nMembers not permitted to clean Car when on site; this includes wheels.  All Cars will have drip trays or absorbent materials for oil (if any) and water leaks. To be placed under car Radiator/Engine and including rear Axle. There should be two marshals on site by 10am to assist in display parking – 5mph or less is maximum speed limit. In addition\, one member should remain in display area as a security attendant.  \nSite plan/route plan/Traffic Management.  Please see attached details. Please note arrival should be timed at; after 10.30am. SUMMARY:Cancelled - Southern Concours
DESCRIPTION:It is with much regret that unfortunately we will be cancelling this event as once again we are struck with COVID restrictions. \nAfter much deliberation we feel that the uncertainty of whether restrictions will be lifted does not allow us enough time to prepare for this event. We also do not wish to committ to any further costs for an event that may or may not happen or have poor attendance due to travel restrictions. It is very difficult and challenging for our committee to get involved with the organisational elements required to hold these events with the current lockdown restrictions in place. We take extreme pride in the events we organise and without the great team of volunteers who give up their time very generously they would not be able to go ahead.
