It will act as a single list of all the events that the Devon Region of the BMW Car Club GB will be organising / attending as a club along with events where we will not be attending as a club but may be of interest to members. The latter events will be noted accordingly and it will be for individual members to make the booking arrangements. SUMMARY:BMW Live 2024\, Oulton Park\, 01 June 2024
DESCRIPTION:BMW Live is a new regional event for 2024 which is taking place at Oulton Park Circuit on Saturday\, 1st June 2024. \nBMW Live will have Region display parking for North East\, Eastern\, Central West\, North West\, Cheshire & Staffs\, Central\, Scottish\, Cumbria\, Mid-Wales & Shropshire and North Wales Regions\, along with many other BMW\, Alpina and modern MINI car groups\, plus a general BMW\, Alpina and modern MINI display parking area. \nBMW Car Club racing will be taking place on the day\, as well as other 750 Motorsport racing\, and there will be a grid walk and a parade lap you can sign up to on the day. There will be a trader village\, kids fun fair and various food and beverage options available. Free camping is available for Friday and Saturday night. \nWe are also holding a pre-event circuit meet on the Friday night in the on-site Chequers café / bar. There will be food and beverages to purchase\, with a full bar available all evening. Get together with like-minded people and the motor racers in a friendly and inviting atmosphere. Find people from all the different regions and registers and car clubs that will be displaying at BMW Live. DESCRIPTION:Our next monthly breakfast meeting will be on Sunday 9th May 2024. We meet from 10.00am to 11.30am at Black Horse Beamish\, Red Row\, Beamish\, Co. Durham\, DH9 0RW. Please be there for 10am prompt if you want to join us for breakfast at discounted club rates. The Black Horse Beamish is just a short distance off the A1 so is easy to get to and has plenty of parking. We usually have a good variety of Alpinas\, BMWs and Modern Minis – classics\, moderns\, daily drivers and a scattering of Ms. Non-BMWs are also OK! Look for the big group somewhere in the pub building\, or hanging around the cars down by the Car Barn on a sunny day. This meeting is open to members and non-members.

SUMMARY:New Forest Treasure Hunt
DESCRIPTION:We are holding a treasure hunt in the New Forest on Sunday 9th June starting at The Sir Walter Tyrrell Pub and finishing at The Bell Inn\, both in Brook\, Near Lyndhurst.  It will be a relaxed drive (not a race!!) with several stops to search for clues.  Please meet at the Sir Walter Tyrrell Pub at 2pm for the briefing (or earlier if you fancy Sunday lunch there).  The treasure hunt will start at 2.30pm and is expected to finish at The Bell Inn by about 5.30-6.00pm.  We will have a prize giving and group dinner at The Bell Inn from 6.00pm onwards. \nA briefing pack with the route\, clues and answer sheet will be provided but please have a pen or pencil available.  It will be important for each car to have a navigator so that there are no distractions for the driver.  Please be prepared to do some pairing so that there is a minimum of two people in each car. \nPlease register for this event with Julian Pickering (email: wessex@bmwcarclubgb.co.uk) as soon as possible but no later than Friday 7 June so that the briefing packs and dinner reservations can be finalised.  The Bell Inn have asked for food pre-ordering\, so I will send out a menu when you register.

Cornwall Region will be joining us. \nIt is taking place at Plymstock Albion Oaks Rugby Football Club\, Horsham Playing Fields\, Wembury Road\, Staddiscombe\, Plymouth\, PL9 0DF. DESCRIPTION:Sunday 30th June will see us attending the Classics at the Castle where we have secured a club stand for between 10-15 cars initially.\nDisplay cars to arrive between 8-10am with the Best Club stand being awarded around 3pm.\nNo age restriction on cars.\nTickets available on Raby Castle website at £7.50.
