DESCRIPTION:This is an events diary for the 2024 season. It will act as a single list of all the events that the Devon Region of the BMW Car Club GB will be organising / attending as a club along with events where we will not be attending as a club but may be of interest to members. The latter events will be noted accordingly and it will be for individual members to make the booking arrangements. Dates and details will be updated as they are confirmed by the organisers\, along with being given their own dedicated event on the Events page if needed. \nPlease note that where events are organised by third parties i.e. not the BMW Car Club GB or one of its Regions\, the information provided below is reproduced in good faith from those external sources. Where we are not attending as a club\, it is up to those interested in attending to confirm that the event(s) are going ahead as shown. \nIf there are other shows/events that may be of interest to members\, please email me the details at devon@bmwcarclubgb.co.uk \nNOVEMBER \n28th (Thursday) Pub meet and AGM. 19:00 for 19:30 at the Swans Nest\, Station Road\, Exminster\, EX6 8DZ. UPDATED 30/10/24. The focus of this evening will be to hold the Region AGM. All members are welcome and and agenda has been published. Please note that should there be any matters that require a vote\, only paid-up members will be eligible to do so. \n30th (Saturday) BMW Day. Re:Fuel\, Five Bridges\, Willand\, Cullompton. EX15 1QP. 09:00-13:00. ADDED 22/11/24. Individual entry but no entry fee! \nDECEMBER \nNo pub meet this month but our annual Festive Meal\, at the Passage House Inn\, Kingsteignton on Thursday 12th December 18:45 for 19:30. \nBlack Tie is optional\, but encouraged. Graham is taking deposits and menu choices\, so please let him know as soon as possible. \n2025 – Look out for the 2025 Events Calendar – very much a work in progress for the New Year.

Please note\, the reference to pre-2000s in the display package description applies to non-club members who bring classics for display but do not receive the club discount. There is no age restriction for cars on club display stands\, they do not need to be pre-2000. Do not click the red ‘AS AN INDIVIDUAL’ button\, as that will take you to the pre-2000 display parking booking\, and do not click on the dark grey ‘FOR MY CLUB’ button. \nLogin to your MSV account\, or register and create an MSV account if you don’t already have one. \nYou will be asked to add the code for your club – please use this code 3813 \nThis will then take you to the booking page for our club attending the event\, with the club discount already applied. You will need to register your display vehicle account to your account\, even if you previously had it registered with MSV\, as their new system hasn’t carried vehicles over from previous years. \nSelect the day or days you wish to attend and follow the booking process. Two separate items will automatically be put into your basket: \n\nA vehicle display pass (this is NOT your driver entry ticket\, it is the parking pass for your car). This will be emailed to you two weeks before the Festival.\nYour driver entry ticket – this is your ticket to enter the event\, and will be sent to you immediately upon booking\, using the delivery method you choose.\n\nPlease also remember to add tickets for any passengers as you go through the booking process. When you get to the checkout you should find that the full 50% club discount has been applied\, even if the full price for passenger tickets appears at some point during the process. \nPlease note\, there is no telephone booking facility\, and the club discount is only available to those bringing a display vehicle (and their vehicle passengers). \nImportant:\nIf you change your display car between time of booking and the event\, or wish to bring a different car on each day\, your original parking pass will work\, even though the car description and registration number might change. SUMMARY:BMWs at SCITP\, 05 May 2024
DESCRIPTION:We are attending Sports Cars In The Park again this year on Sunday 05 May. The show will be held at Newby Hall and is one of the largest meets in the area attracting a fabulous range of about 1400 exotic sports cars to admire\, with well over 100 BMWs. There is also the option to visit Newby Hall itself\, 25 acres of award winning\, an enchanting woodland walk and a miniature railway. Younger visitors will also enjoy the exciting adventure gardens. There will also be a number of related stalls and catering on the day. Display cars can arrive from 8:15 until 12:00. Tickets for driver and displaying car (£8:00) are available from the SCITP website\, with each extra occupant costing £8:00 extra with a discount for children. Display tickets are only sold in advance. To get your tickets go to www.sportscarsinthepark.co.uk\, login and then click on ‘Tickets’. Remember to select ‘BMW Car Club GB’ as part of the process\, or you may end up parked amongst Audis and Volkswagens. The club stand is open to members and non-members\, and all BMWs\, Modern Minis and Alpinas.

SUMMARY:North East Region Breakfast Meet
DESCRIPTION:Our next monthly breakfast meeting will be on Sunday 12th May 2024. We meet from 10.00am to 11.30am at Black Horse Beamish\, Red Row\, Beamish\, Co. Durham\, DH9 0RW. Please be there for 10am prompt if you want to join us for breakfast at discounted club rates. The Black Horse Beamish is just a short distance off the A1 so is easy to get to and has plenty of parking. We usually have a good variety of Alpinas\, BMWs and Modern Minis – classics\, moderns\, daily drivers and a scattering of Ms. Non-BMWs are also OK! Look for the big group somewhere in the pub building\, or hanging around the cars down by the Car Barn on a sunny day. This meeting is open to members and non-members.

DESCRIPTION:UPDATED 27/3/24 \nNEW DATE – Saturday 25th May \nAn event for all those who like to keep their pride and joy in show condition! \nJack Smyth\, owner of Classic Modern Retro has offered to put on a detailing demo for Devon & Cornwall club members on the morning of Saturday 25th May. Jack is also one of the organisers behind the popular Cars & Coffee events at Morwellham Quay. \nCan members please WhatsApp or email me on devon@bmwcarclubgb.co.uk if you would like to attend. This way I can advise Jack of the number of attendees. \nA word of warning for those attending – don’t just put the postcode into your Satnav and expected it to direct you to the door. This is a rural area and the postcode therefore covers a large area. If you try this\, you will either turn off too early or sail on past. I did both the first time I went there\, so keep your eyes peeled for the correct turning on your left after going through Callington/Kelly Bray. Please be there for a 10:00 start. \nI have seen the results of his work on anything from brand new vehicles to ‘projects’ and the results are remarkable. \nA good source of advice in preparation for the show season.
