The Lyn Valley Classic\, which began in 2014\, was born from the vision of local business owners passionate about motorized vehicles and their desire to support local charities while highlighting the beauty of their twin villages. From a humble gathering of 12 cars\, the Lyn Valley Classic has grown exponentially and is now supported by generous volunteers\, sponsors\, the Town Council\, and exhibitors. This event not only offers an incredible automotive experience but also holds great importance as a visitor attraction for Lynton & Lynmouth and the surrounding area. It boosts local tourism and trade\, brings the community together\, and helps showcase the stunning natural environment of this beautiful area.  \n\nThe Lyn Valley’s awe-inspiring coastline\, rolling hills of the Exmoor National Park provide a spectacular setting that complements the event perfectly. We extend our gratitude to the car owners\, clubs\, and businesses that bring their cherished machines for all to admire. DESCRIPTION:UPDATED 20/5/24 \nA new event on our calendar\, albeit well established and taking place on the same weekend as the now-cancelled Sommerfest – 15th & 16th June\, open to the public at 10:00 so we will need to be there for 09:00 to set up our display. \nTickets are by by individual entry\, via the organiser’s website (link below) but if we will be parking together as a club. Cornwall Region will be joining us. \nIt is taking place at Plymstock Albion Oaks Rugby Football Club\, Horsham Playing Fields\, Wembury Road\, Staddiscombe\, Plymouth\, PL9 0DF. The organisers have advised that: \n“There is no limit to the number of cars that the club can enter the show\, just let us know if you expect more than 10 cars as we can reserve an area for you. There is no age limit for exhibits. \nThe £5 ticket price covers the car and its driver\, an additional £5 per person is required for anyone else in the vehicle\, under 16’s are free. DESCRIPTION:The BMW Show at Santa Pod Raceway is back again for 2024 and all BMWs are welcome including race cars\, show cars\, modern\, retros\, classics\, new minis and BMW bikes.\n\nThis year the BMW Car Club GB will be represented by the Central West Region. We have initially booked 10 spaces in the Orange Zone & would ideally like confirm spaces before the end of April so please arrange payment before then.
